Maria was born in Crete, but she lives in a colourful wooden attic on a hill next to the sea, near Athens. She works in a shop selling organic products, occasionally works as a graphics designer, which is what she studied, and she likes painting, reading and exercising. However, what ‘feeds’ her soul is making artwork. She finds recyclable materials, such as wood, string, paint, clay and so on, and uses them to make boats ready to set sail, bright lighthouses, beautiful little houses, ‘bunches’ of fish, paintings on pieces of globetrotting wood. Every day, she discovers something new to express her creativity. This is what makes her happy.
