Maria Kalogiannaki

Maria was born and brought up in Heraklion, Crete, and art is a shelter for her. She paints and creates artwork made from driftwood, pebbles and other materials which have already been used and whose cycle of life has come to an end. Maria harmonically mixes her materials and the colours of Greece with her imagination, and the result is painted old doors and shutters, boats and modern sculptures, all of which are so real and full of inspiration that they challenge you to ‘chat’ with them.
