Despina was born in Trikala, Thessaly, but she has been living in Athens since 1979. She is married and has three sons. She is a hairdresser, and in her free time, she likes creating artwork, mainly jewellery made from natural materials and with a great deal of imagination. Despina regards the figuration of any material as a way of expressing herself, a way of letting off steam and an important source of pleasure.
